CEREC One-Visit Crowns

In some cases, a one-visit crowns isn't the best option. Dr. Hale may recommend a lab-created crown made of porcelain fused to metal or all metal. These strong restorations are perfect for back teeth, which incur an unbelievable amount of pressure every day. To place a traditional crown, expect two office visits. You'll wear a temporary crown between visits. Dr. Hale believes in lasting dental work, so he'll recommend the best type of crown for your unique case.
We also place inlays and onlays made with CEREC or by a dental lab. Much like a filling, and inlay and onlay fits into a tooth to repair large areas of tooth decay. Inlays and onlays are stronger than fillings and provide more structure to a compromised tooth. When a filling isn't quite enough, but a crown is overkill, Dr. Hale may recommend a porcelain inlay or onlay to restore your tooth.

If your temporary crown comes off before your follow-up visit, apply a tiny amount of toothpaste to the temporary, then reseat it onto your tooth. Call Dr. Hale to make an appointment for a replacement temporary.
