Dentures & Partials

For patients with many missing teeth, dentures and partials can restore quality of life, self-confidence, and health. Dr. Hale works with a dental lab that uses fine porcelains and lifelike materials to create natural-looking full and partial dentures. A denture consists of a full row of teeth attached to a gum-colored base. It sits on the top or bottom jaw. A partial denture has multiple teeth attached to a gum –colored base, spaced to allow room for existing teeth. A partial fits with existing teeth like a puzzle piece.

Dr. Hale can determine whether you need a partial or full denture. Many brands and styles of dentures are available, such as open palate and full palate. By learning about your expectations, lifestyle, and goals, Dr. Hale can help you decide which denture is best for you.

If you prefer a solid denture that does not require adhesive, consider an implant-supported denture or partial or a mini dental implant (MDI by Imtec). For MDIs, Dr. Hale can place small implant screws into your jaw, then attach a denture the same day. MDIs offer a temporary or long-term solution.

Dr. Hale works with a local oral surgeon for placement of traditional dental implants. After your implants are placed, you can have your denture or partial designed, created, and fitted at Smiles by Hale. Learn more about dental implants here.
