A denture consists of a full row of teeth attached to a gum-colored base. It sits on the top or bottom jaw. A partial denture has multiple teeth attached to a gum –colored base, spaced to allow room for existing teeth. A partial fits with existing teeth like a puzzle piece.

If you prefer a solid denture that does not require adhesive, consider an implant-supported denture or partial or a mini dental implant (MDI by Imtec). For MDIs, Dr. Hale can place small implant screws into your jaw, then attach a denture the same day. MDIs offer a temporary or long-term solution.
